For several seconds, I couldn’t even understand what I was reading.
I thought it had to be a mistake.
Maybe Robert just looked like someone she knew.
But then the woman posted another comment.
This time he wrote Robert’s full name.
Then he mentioned the small town where he had lived before he met me.
And finally he added a phrase:
“If you still have a little scar behind your right shoulder, then I know I’m not wrong.”
I almost dropped my phone on my hands.
Because almost no one knew about that scar.
I turned to Robert.
I was sitting in the same chair, watching TV.
I showed him the phone.
“Robert… who is this woman?”
He read the comment.
And for the first time in our 56 years of marriage, I saw her face lose all color.
He did not ask:
“Who is she?”
He did not say:
“It must be a mistake.”
Instead, he slowly left the phone on the table and said:

“I expected this not to come to light until after my death.”
At the time I realized that this woman was not lying.
But what Robert said later was much worse.
