A Man Left His Wife for the Other Woman, Leaving Her to Raise Their Kids — Two Years Later, He Returned to Beg Her to Take Him In, but What He Saw at the Door Left Him Stunned

I laughed.

“That sounds like a disaster.”

She shook her head.

“Some parts were frustrating. But I had a wonderful time.”

“Even with all that?”

“Yes,” she answered. “Because I wasn’t constantly afraid that someone would blame me whenever things went wrong.”

My smile faded.

She looked at me.

“Remember when we canceled our weekend trip because Holly was sick?”

I did.

I’d barely spoken to her for two days afterward.

“You kept apologizing,” I said quietly.

“Three times.”

I lowered my gaze.

“And I never apologized for making you feel guilty.”

“No, Ross. You didn’t.”

For a long moment, neither of us spoke.

That conversation hurt more than being refused a room.

Because I was finally seeing the marriage I’d left from her perspective.

She hadn’t become boring.

She’d become exhausted.

And instead of helping her, I’d made her feel responsible for my unhappiness.
