“My Son Abandoned Me on a Tiny Island in the Middle of the Ocean. My Daughter-in-Law Laughed and Shouted, ‘Enjoy Your Island, Old Woman! The Inheritance Papers Are Already Signed!’ But They Had No Idea Who I Really Was…”

Then I remembered.

Before Miguel died, we had established a family trust.

We had transferred our house, land, and most of our savings into that trust.

And I was its trustee.

Our son could receive his inheritance only after my death, subject to certain conditions.

But the most important condition had been Miguel’s idea.

If our child ever attempted to obtain the family’s assets through fraud, threats, or violence, he would lose his right to receive any money from the trust.

I had almost forgotten about that clause.

The attorney continued.

“And the documents you signed yesterday were obtained through deception. We’re already taking steps to challenge them.”

For the first time since being abandoned, I smiled.

“So Daniel and Victoria still don’t know they haven’t received anything?”

“That’s correct.”

“Then I have one request.”

“Of course.”

“I want them to know I’m alive.”
