I posted this picture with my grandfather on Facebook. Ten minutes later, a stranger wrote to me, “Get out of that house. He’s not the man you were told it was…” I thought it was a scam until he sent me a picture from 1989, and my grandfather paled into seeing her

I replied:

“Who are you?”

The answer came immediately.

Ask George if he remembers April 17, 1989.

The smile disappeared from my face.

I looked at my grandfather.

I was by the sink washing a cup.

“Grandpa, does the date April 17, 1989 say anything to you?”

The cup was still in his hands.
